Sachs for Ross's show?

Jonathan Ross has his work cut out trying to get back in the good books with the BBC and the British public.

But the presenter has a trick up his sleeve – he plans to invite Andrew Sachs to be the first guest on his Friday night chat show when it's allowed back on the air.

Yes, Andrew Sachs is the man Ross and Russell Brand insulted during their telephone prank a couple of weeks back.

A source told the Daily Mirror: "Jonathan believes that by having him on the show, he will draw a line under this whole sorry affair."

Ross's chat show will not be back on our screens until January following his three-month suspension by the BBC. The source added: "Jonathan is desperately upset that he's offended a comedy legend like Andrew."

However, when asked about appearing on the show, Sachs said: "I really don't know if I would go on the show. I have not been asked and I would have to discuss it with Jonathan Ross before I went on.

"He did write me a lovely letter of apology and going on the show is not something I would rule out. I've got an open mind about things like that."

Now, that's a conversation we will definitely be tuned into.
